What Kind of Car Should Teenagers Be Driving?

The school year is approaching fast and what is on every teenager's back to school list? A car. Parents of college students are looking for safe, reliable, and affordable cars to take their kids to and from college in. Consumer reports lists the most important features that parents should be looking for in a used car for their teenager.
  1. Electronic Stability Control (ECS)
  2. Anti-lock Brakes
  3. multistage advanced front and side airbags and head protection
Consumer Reports recommends smaller, midsize cars because of their safety and affordability. Some of the cars they recommended were the 2008 or later Hyundai Elantra, the 2011 or later Mazda3, the 2009-2013 Mazda6, or the non-turbo 2009 or later Subaru Impreza.
